Learnics Software Developer
Learnics is a company that is committed to improving education by providing teachers with actionable analytics about student online activity. Learnics was recently awarded a National Science Foundation grant to further develop and commercialize software and strategies in the field of targeted online learner analytics. Learnics is seeking to hire a skilled Software Developer to take a leading role with the development of our current project as well as new projects. Your duties will primarily revolve around building software by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces and functions. You will also be involved in directing system testing and validation procedures, and also working with customers on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.
To be successful in this role, you will need extensive knowledge of computers and the software development lifecycle. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience is required.

Database experience (preferably Google Firestore, but not expected)
Node.js experience desired, but not expected
The primary objective of this position is to develop the software needed to advance the usage of targeted online learner analytics. This will involve collaboration with educational researchers to improve teacher and user interfaces, analytic reports and the development of key learning indicator alerts based on user behaviors.
This is a full-time position with a vast majority of work being able to be conducted remotely. This position requires a once weekly face-face meeting in the Lehigh Valley Area. The meeting may occur in the evening with other team members or during the day with cooperating teachers. No other regular travel is anticipated.
